TMT: "Linking Computers & The World of Medicine"

TMT Medical combines medical and computer expertise to provide:

Free services for the public:

  • Patient-Empowered Disease Questionnaires and Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
  • Access to medical articles for chronic disease and chronic pain.
  • Access to the latest news from the world of medicine.
  • Novel 2D and 3D computer-analysis of body areas affected by pain & other symptoms.

Free Services for doctors:

  • Collaborative Clinical Trials for evaluation of disease and joint publications in peer-reviewed medical journals.

Advances in medical research:

  • Population-based chronic pain data.
  • Integration of pain diagram databases through mapping of different pain diagram designs.
  • Identification of pain patterns in different body areas followed by matching of pain patterns to pain causes.

Taylor MicroTechnology, Inc. (TMT) is a small family company with many years experience in designing medical diagnostic systems, and in designing and administering clinical research studies. It was incorporated in 1984. TMT Medical is the arm of TMT directed towards research on the diagnosis of disease; all funds obtained are used purely to fund our research activities. The for-profit arm of TMT in the past has licensed diagnostic systems to major pharmaceutical companies (e.g., TMT’s patented heart sound signal averaging system provided early warning of possible catastrophic strut failure in artificial heart valves). Funds obtained from the TMT for-profit arm (e.g., providing consultant support for Pharmaceutical Companies and Contract Research Organizations) have been used purely to subsidize the research of TMT Medical and TMT intends to continue this approach.

TMT has a strong patent portfolio that is available for licensing. For example, one patent describes use of a relational database and two-dimensional time/action matrix to manage sets of documents used in clinical research studies ( “Method and System for Generating and Distributing Document Sets using a Relational Database”, U.S. Patent 6,209,004). Another patent ("Method for Analysis of Pain Images", US 7,374,536) describes technology for digital recording and computer analysis of pain diagrams.
